The Girl Singer: A Tribute To Rosemary Clooney

Ellen has been thrilled to present “The Girl Singer: A Tribute To Rosemary Clooney” to such wonderful audiences.  She premiered the show in November 2011 at Sunset Playhouse in Elm  Grove, WI with a sold-out run.    Audiences have loved the show and have said that Ellen “channels” Rosie.

Ellen, her amazing trio (Sam Steffke, Hal Miller and Jim Ryan) and wonderful guests perform the timeless music of America’s Favorite “girl singer,” Rosemary Clooney.  This original rosie-collageshowwritten by Ellen; weaves in stories about Rosie’s roller coaster life and feature the songs that made her famous.

Also joining Ellen in the original run, and hopefully future shows,  Don Lobacz, of Four Guyz In Dinner Jackets, who is an absolute charmer as he sings the parts of Bing, Frank and other Rosie duet partners.   The next production of this show will be at Terra Community College in Sandusky, OH on January 13 & 14, 2012. Ellen is excited to be joining forces with longtime friend and colleague Michael Shirtz and the Michael Shirtz Quartet.
