Tickets are selling fast for Ellen’s original show “The Girl Singer: A Tribute To Rosemary girlsinger-2Clooney.” The show will run for 2 weeks from November 10-19, 2011 at Sunset Playhouse in Elm Grove, WI.  The cabaret-style table seating accommodates 88 people per show, so call today and get your tickets!

Join Ellen, her amazing trio (Sam Steffke, Hal Miller and Jim Ryan) and wonderful guests for 6 great performances of the music of America’s Favorite “girl singer,” Rosemary Clooney. This original show, written by Ellen, will chronicle Rosie’s roller coaster life and feature the songs that made her famous.

A life full of career highs and personal lows left Rosemary struggling in the late 1960’s and also had her leaving the world of entertainment for several years.  It wasn’t until her friend Bing Crosby invited her to perform with him in 1974 that her career was “reborn.”  Her story is one of perseverance and a belief that happiness was not unattainable.  In the end, America’s sweetheart did find happiness and renewed musical success.

Also joining Ellen will be Don Lobacz (Four Guyz In Dinner Jackets).  Don’s years of performing musical theater and music of the 50’s/60’s and today have made him one of the most don-2versatile singers around.  With his vocal group, Four Guyz, he has served as musical arranger and founding member.  The Guyz constantly sell out shows all around the region and Ellen is thrilled and honored to have Don as a part of this production.

Ellen is also thrilled to be joined by fellow “sisters” in song: Tamara Martinsek, Mimi Rohlfing, Gladys Chmiel, Kay Stiefel and Trish O’Brien - for select performances.
